Helpful Highlights

  • There is a new tab on our website called, “Budget Transparency.” This tab will serve as the hub of communication and clarity regarding our budget. 


  • Mr. Bill Adams with Studer Education shared the projected timeline and course of action for the strategic planning and visioning WCPS will conduct through Studer.  Link to presentation.


  • The athletic facility at Woodford County High School is completed and ready to be used. More exciting information to come!

  • The Attorney General  issued an explanation on the new traceable communication law which is Senate Bill 181. This document provides clarification to the implementation of the law. Link to presentation. 

Superintendent's Report

The Superintendent's Report  included updates on a variety of topics, such as the new high school project, curriculum and instruction, and a presentation from Safe Harbor Academy.

Mr. Logan Culbertson, Principal of Safe Harbor Academy and the Woodford Virtual Learning Academy,  shared a presentation  of the goals, initiatives, and successes of these two programs. 


The Consent Agenda was approved, which included:


  • Accepting over $11,000 in donations  for various schools and programs.

  • Approving numerous fundraiser requests  for different school clubs, teams, and departments.

  • Approving travel requests for required in-state professional development and student trips.

  • Approving ETC Handbooks and WCHS School Fees.

Regular Agenda Items:

The board recessed the regular meeting to convene a Woodford County Public Schools District Finance Corp meeting.

During the finance meeting, the minutes from the previous meeting on July 28, 2025, were approved, and the meeting was then adjourned.


The board approved the July monthly treasurer report with transparency around the finances of the school district. Included in the presentation was showcasing the budget transparency tab on the website. The salary expenditures were lower than normal due to teachers not returning to the building. August financial reports will reflect teacher salaries as well.
